December saw the MoEU hosts the first EPRTR Project Focal Points meeting at the Golbasi offices. The event was designed to update the project focal points, identified during the recent workshops, on project progress since the workshop sessions.
We have nearly 150 project focal points from across the stakeholder groups and this event was designed to update those within the Ankara province. We had 30 focal points attend the event and we had presentations delivered by the MoEU PRTR team and the Niras project team.
The event lasted around 2 hours and it was a chance for all the delegates to get an update on the 5 themed areas of the workshop as well as an opportunity for the PRTR staff from the MoEU to update the delegates on forthcoming activities in 2018 and on the development of the project website.
It was an excellent agenda, see below, and there was a short discussion period at the end of the presentations where there was some really positive contributions from the focal points on the key issues raised in the presentations. We look forward to a continued positive and productive relationship with the project focal points and to the next project focal point meeting.
