On the 8th & 9th February 2018 the PRTR project hosted two 1-day training meetings on the new Turkish PRTR by-law in Ankara
The training meetings were attended by representatives from the MoEU and the Provincial Directorates across Turkey. In addition there were also representatives from other relevant Ministries and industry associations. These workshops were part of an ongoing consultation process for the project team on a number of key project outputs.
The training meetings were held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Ankara and the participants of the training were excellent and made a really positive and encouraging contribution to the workshop and discussion sessions. It was extremely pleasing to the project team to have such high quality technical engagement and hopefully all parties benefitted from the two training meetings.
The training meetings mainly focused on to discuss Draft Bylaw on implementation of PRTR in Turkey with all relevant stakeholders to have the early and effective public participation. In addition to Draft Bylaw, design of PRTR Turkey system was also discussed during the training meetings.
