Today was the first in a series of technical workshops to be hosted by the new technical assistance project to the MoEU on PRTR implementation in Turkey. This workshop was attended by representatives from the MoEU and was part of an ongoing consultation process for the project team on a number of key project outputs.
Further workshop sessions will be held at the same venue over the coming weeks in order to disseminate the project deliverables and result to as wide a stakeholder group as possible.
There were 5 themed workshop groups hosted by international and national experts. At each workshop groups there was a series of key issues to be discussed with, and in some cases questionnaires to be completed by, the delegates. In this way their opinions were sought on the key issues related to the project deliverables and outputs.

The workshop sessions were well received by the delegates and there were some excellent discussions throughout the sessions.
